"If I like a book, I devour it in one sitting, and then I forget a lot. It's fine with me because I read them over and over again."

BLURB:
In the real world, Eliza Mirk is shy, weird, and friendless. Online, she’s LadyConstellation, the anonymous creator of the wildly popular webcomic Monstrous Sea. Eliza can’t imagine enjoying the real world as much as she loves the online one, and she has no desire to try.

Then Wallace Warland, Monstrous Sea’s biggest fanfiction writer, transfers to her school. Wallace thinks Eliza is just another fan, and as he draws her out of her shell, she begins to wonder if a life offline might be worthwhile.

But when Eliza’s secret is accidentally shared with the world, everything she’s built—her story, her relationship with Wallace, and even her sanity—begins to fall apart.

MY REVIEW:
'MIND-BLOWING!'

This was my exact reaction after I finished reading this book!

So, the story goes like this- Eliza Mirk is reticent, sheepish, and an introverted girl in the real world. She does not have any friends and nor does she likes to spend time with her family. But online, Eliza is totally a different person. She is the creator of the most sought-after webcomic 'Monstrous Sea' and has introduced herself online as Lady Constellation because she does not want anyone to recognize her real identity.
"That computer is my rabbit hole; the internet is my wonderland. I am only allowed to fall into it when it doesn't matter if I get lost."
Eliza runs the 'Monstrous Sea' forum with her only friends(online) Max and Emmy. These two are the only persons who know her by her real name. She is the kind of person who likes to spend her whole time online rather than communicating with people offline.
"That's what I like about the internet- that it gives you time to think about what you want to say before you say it."

Life was going on like this for Eliza until she meets Wallace.

Wallace Warland, a new kid who transfers to her school Westcliff High, is the biggest fanfiction writer of 'Monstrous Sea' and is popularly known as a rainmaker in the forums. Both of them connected with each other because of their mutual love for the 'Monstrous Sea', although, Eliza doesn't disclose her real identity to him. Their friendship soon blossomed into love. As Eliza started to immerse herself more into the real world with Wallace, something happens which changes everything around her. To know what happens with her, and how she copes with it, you need to read the book.

The thing I loved the most in the book was the character of Eliza. This is because I could relate to her in so many ways. Her character development throughout the book was laudable. I found Wallace very cute, and the romance between them was super adorable!

The writing style of the author, the way she has added all the twists and turns, was just perfect and brilliant. There was not a single time when I got bored of reading it. I experienced a lot of emotions all at once. I laughed, I blushed, I cried and very much devoured it. At times I could relate it with the book 'The Fault in Our Stars' by John Green(which is totally my opinion!).

The author has also discussed mental health issues which is all the more reason why people need to read the book. I would also like to mention the beautiful illustrations that were present in some of the chapters, which makes the book quite appealing.

All in all, 'Eliza and Her Monsters' is a wonderful book, which I feel everyone should read. Especially people who are a part of different fandoms like me would love to read this one.
