Avanti meets Suhaas. They become friends. Avanti is a conflicted girl, shattered in the tussle between her past and present and Suhaas is the typical prince charming who has two sides, one which he keeps to himself and the other which he shows to everyone. As their story proceeds ahead, both of them begin to feel affinity for each other. But deep in the realms of their hearts dwells chaos that occurs because of their past relationships. Avanti and Suhaas's friends make efforts to unite them as they know that they love each other. Eventually, it's up to Suhaas if he will confess his love or not but the important question arises here is, will Avanti find the courage to leave behind her tumultuous past and embrace her love story?
MY REVIEW:
'When Broken Hearts Meet' by Arushi Vats is a simple love story revolving around two people, Avanti and Suhaas.
Avanti, the protagonist of the story has a distressing past. She was still reeling from her past relationship when Kritika, her college friend introduced her to Suhaas. Suhaas too, like Avanti has a similar past. In due course, they both developed feelings for each other but neither of them was ready to accept their feelings.Things become complicated when Avanti's ex come in between. What happens after that? Will they be able to confess their feelings for each other? You need to read the book to find that out.
The writing style of the author was very simple and neat. Not only the author has explored the emotion of love, but also she has penned down the beauty of friendship, the fun of hostel life in her book. Some of the twists and turns introduced by the author was noteworthy. However, more than the love part, I liked the relationship of Avanti with her friends Niharika and Harnoor. Thus, these are the few things that I loved about the book.
There were many places in the book where I found questioning myself as to what was really happening. Some parts were a bit exaggerated. I did understood that both Avanti and Suhaas fell for each other, but not how it exactly happened. I did like the characters of Niharika and Harnoor but I was disappointed with the character of Avanti. I found her character very annoying, immature and stubborn. The character of Suhaas was okay.
All in all, 'When Broken Hearts Meet' was an okay read for me. If you like to read romance novels then you can go with this one!
