PLOTLINE:

Mira Rawat is a seven-year old beautiful and adventurous girl. One day while Mira along with her two best friends, Bira and Vira were on their way to Gunhill for a picnic, they came across a man who introduced himself as Bushy. Bushy informed Mira that, he has come from Farland on the order of Princess Harmonica to invite her for the New Moon Party. Bushy also casted a spell on Bira and Vira, turning them into rats, as Farland is a quiet place and because they keep on fighting most of the time without any reason, it can be very disturbing for all of them there.

Farland is a beautiful magical land, a home to many gnomes, fairies, eagles and etc about which Mira has heard many stories from her mother. Carrying Bira and Vira in the pocket of her jacket, Mira sets out on her journey to Farland. Starhead, the most sophisticated night pilot of Farland picks her up to fly them to the land.

However, things doesn't turn out as well as was expected by Mira on her journey to Farland because, the plane went out of control and landed into the Lost Forest. Thereupon, she heard from Windman that, Farland is in great danger as the  Queen of Witches has reached the land to release the Dragon of Underhill. She intends to unchain the Dragon so that it can destroy the kingdom of Farland.

With Starhead and Windman being held captive by the Queen of Witches, Mira sets out alone on her mission to save Farland. Will Mira be able to save Farland from the Queen of Witches? Read the book to find out.

MY REVIEW:
The plot of the story is quite interesting and is filled with magic. All the characters and sceneries have been beautifully described by the author along with visual illustrations. The story was fast paced and the writing style of the author was very simple which can be easily comprehended by the young readers.

The story was so adorable  and charming that I really enjoyed reading it. The story reminded me of all those fairy tale books that I've read in my childhood. I felt like being transported back to my childhood days, and I could remember all those books that I used to read that time like, for example 'Sleeping Beauty', 'Cinderella' and etc.

Overall, I would say that, 'Adventures in Farland' is a good read for the kids. Not only I would recommend this book to kids, but also to the other age groups, who are looking for some light and refreshing read.
