Goodbye SSR!

FINAL GOODBYE TO SUSHANT SINGH RAJPUT This is not a bookish post as you can see from the title. I know that the person for whom I am writing this post will never be able to read it, but I am doing it so  that I can release my pent-up emotions which have been nagging me since 14th June 2020.  I don't think that I need to introduce Sushant Singh Rajput as the whole world knows about him right now! To be honest, I was never his fan but I will admit that he is one of the finest actors of Bollywood and has done some really good movies. I remember watching him in the movie- MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, and how mesmerized I was after watching his performance. It would be really hard for anyone who has watched this movie, to differentiate between the reel and real MS Dhoni. Yes! That was the kind of performance SSR gave in this movie.   I have also watched some of his other movies such as Kai Poche, PK, Chhichhore, Detective Byomkesh Bakshi, and Dil Bechara (Watched Chhichhore an

SHORT STORY

Short Story Hello! My name is Abhisikta Basu and I've tried to write a story. I hope you enjoy reading it.  It was 7 0’clock in the evening when Sariah Evans reached her apartment at Findayle, California. The neighborhood was very calm and quiet as the winter season had already started at Findayle and all the townspeople were at their respective homes resting by their fireplace. Usually, Sariah reaches her apartment by 6 0’clock but today she had to do some extra work in the library as Mrs. Jones, the owner of the library was absent. “Oh God! I need to submit the assignment tomorrow!” Sariah exclaimed. Sariah was majoring in literature from Findayle High School and it was her final year. She aspires to become a writer. This was the sole reason why she was interning at the ‘The Public Library’ at Findayle so that she could read a lot and start writing a novel. She checked her phone and saw a text message from her mother which read that she would be working late today. Sar

In a sweeping act of courage, she now invites you into her head. Shaheen was diagnosed with depression at eighteen, after five years of already living with it. In this emotionally arresting memoir, she reveals both the daily experiences and big picture of one of the most debilitating and critically misinterpreted mental illnesses in

Who else could bleed for a week and not die?'     BLURB:   (Taken From Amazon) Emma loathes her period. Really, she does. But there’s something she loathes even more: not being able to talk about it. Freely, funnily and honestly. Without men and women wrinkling their noses as if she’s pulled her tampon out and offered it as an hors d'oeuvre.  But somehow, despite women having had periods since the dawn of time, we’ve totally clammed up on anything to do with menstruation. Why, oh why, would we rather say ‘Auntie Flo’ than ‘period’? why, in the 21st century, are periods still seen as icky? Why are we still so ignorant about such a fundamental bodily process? Now, i
