"There will be times when you feel you have the best relationship, ever
There will be times when it will be the worst that has happened to you
There will be times when you know you are getting into something terrible; something that will not stop till it destroys you
And yet. . .
You will be pulled into it so inextricably, unstoppably . . ."
PLOTLINE:
The story is based in the city of Gurgaon, revolving around the life of Dhruv Saxena, who is happily married to his wife Shalini, a psychiatrist and has two kids, Kabir and Siya. Dhruv is the youngest senior vice president of an advertising agency C&M, and the story begins with him getting promoted as the C&M's new branch head of Delhi.
With the creative head's position being vacant for over two months, there comes Anuradha to fill in that position in C&M. Dhruv, after seeing Anuradha felt an strange sense of familiarity, as if he was waiting for her to arrive in his life. While working on a project together, they both come very close to each other. Dhruv, even though tried to resist his feelings for her, eventually ended up engaging in a physical and romantic relationship with her. Although he felt guilty for cheating on his wife, he continued telling lies to her, in order to be with Anuradha, and couldn't stop himself from loving her.
Anuradha on the other way round, also has felt a strange connection with Dhruv when she met him. She doesn't even mind the fact that Dhruv is married with two kids, as long as he loves her. But there is a dark past in her life, which can put Dhruv's life in danger. . . What was the secret that Anuradha was keeping with her? Will Dhruv be able to get out of it?
MY REVIEW:
The title of the book "You never know sometimes love can drag you through hell. . ." is very appropriate with the plot of the book. The author has penned down a concept of 'extra-marital affair' in this story, which has been and are still being seen in our society . The language and the writing style of the author is simple and lucid throughout the book. The story was so fast paced and gripping that I couldn't stop myself from finishing the book at a go. And I can assure you that once you start reading it, you won't be able to put down the book before completing it.
Overall, I would say that the book is a refreshing read for a holiday or a weekend, and I would definitely recommend everyone to read it.
